Fundraising Weekend SuccessTwo fundraising events took place on the weekend of 1/28/11 and once again proved how caring and generous hockey families are! Friday nights' fundraiser was for Michele Bergermann, mother of Ice Dog forward Aric Bergermann, to help defray the costs incurred with her battle with cancer.
The crowd of over 350, opened up not only their wallets, but their hearts, with very generous donations. A special "Thank-You" also goes out to our opponent that night, the Motor City Chiefs and their owner Gerry Lullove for their donation.
Saturday night was the annual "Jerry Ball Jr. Memorial Education Fund" game. The bake sales, raffles, chuck-a-puck and silent auction made for another very successful event.
Sunday the generosity did not stop, all proceeds were added to the money from Friday nights game as well.
Over the three days of games, the crowd enjoyed some great hockey as well. Again the Michigan Ice Dogs hockey family would like to thank everyone for their help and donations.
